CampLand
2026
We love love. CampLand relaunched their In It Together charity collection for pride month. Here’s what I wrote about it:
“At Camp, we care about our community. From nights around the fire to slow mornings in the mountains, it’s never really about where you are, it’s who you’re with. Designed for comfort wherever you land: trail, couch, or your favourite local spot, these are the pieces you reach for. Easy, lived-in, and soft fits, this collection is made to be worn again and again. We donate 20% of proceeds from every piece towards Camp fYrefly and Where The Rivers Meet, helping create space for LGBTQ2S+ youth to feel seen, supported, and not alone.
Come as you are, we're In It Together.”
Going into the new year, I developed a campaign centered on intentionality and quality time. The concept took shape as a “2026 Ins & Outs” list for CampLand, that reflects the brand’s ethos of living in the moment and trailblazing our own path.
Anyone else getting overwhelmed by their seemingly out of reach resolutions for the new year we feel you for 2026 instead of making resolutions we know we'll fade into oblivion in about a weeks time we've made a list of ins and outs to navigate the new year in a way that feels authentic and intentional instead of resolving to spend every day of the week in the gym for prioritizing getting outside and touching grass rather than trying to cut out mine the screen time altogether we're finding ways to help us avoid the gym scroll no more feeling guilty for falling shorter perfection this year we were focusing on the guiding stars that allow us to get closer to the best versions of ourselves this resonates with you keep readingWe've created a few guides at future some of her favourite gear – they're not just the best tried and true supplies out there they're also the goods that we know will you prioritize your well-being whatever that looks like planning that bucket trip this year trying to limit your intake of takeout? We’ve got you!
IN: Spending More Time Outside
As soon as the temperature goes below zero it's so easy to stay holed up inside. To remind you that, regardless of the forecast, never seeing the sun or touching grass (snow?) will only make you feel worse. There's nothing better than bundling all the way up and not even feeling the chill on your after-dinner walk, or the feeling of warming up to a comfortable temperature during your run. With the right tools you can make getting outside enjoyable even in the cold, so grab your toque and your fleece and get out there.
IN: Taking It Slow
We're all for challenging ourselves, getting active, and getting outside, but within our culture of grinding and growing it can be so easy to forget the importance of taking it easy. Sometimes the body calls for a bit of gentleness and slowness, and in those moments it's important to listen. We can't hope to care for our community unless we've taken care of ourselves too. Whether you're "taking it slow" looks like a peaceful candlelight bath, or a cozy evening on the couch with a good book, we've got you. Let the tranquility and self love comments
IN: Checking Off Your Bucket List
We may not be a travel agency (like at all), but we may be able to help you prepare for that trip you finally booked this year. Stop dreaming about it — this is the year you make it happen! Is it a beach vacation? A backpacking adventure? A dreamy West Coast road trip? Whether you need a reliable sunscreen, a versatile travel bag, or a technical layer, you'll find it here.
OUT: Doomscrolling
Sometimes after a long, stressful day it feels good to turn off your brain for some mindless scroll time before bed. We're going to challenge you to try something new – no more blue light straight to the retina right before falling asleep, or first thing in the morning Twitter scroll to set the day off on a terrible foot. We're replacing that time with a good book on the couch, or an hour of puzzling with friends, or a family friendly board game with the whole crew. We promise you you'll be feeling better about yourselves, and the world, in no time.
OUT: Eating Out
This past year has been rough on our wallets, and a huge culprit for us is just how easy it is to leave the house and spend $20. Overpriced coffees, yummy little pastries, a sandwich that would've cost less than five dollars to make it home but somehow you paid $17.99 + tax and tip… they may be tempting but a bit of organization in the kitchen could've saved us a whole lot of money! Here's a collection of our favourite kitchen essentials, including recipe books, lunch kits, condiments, and coffee staples to help you cut those extra costs and make the most of your groceries.
2024
As part of their new website launch, I created copy for Camp Brand Goods to welcome customers to their newly opened flagship store, CampLand, in Inglewood.
“CampLand lives in the old Livery Shop building, right in the heart of Inglewood – one of Calgary's most charming historic neighbourhoods. It's our flagship store and the ultimate home base for all things Camp Brand Goods. You'll find our full lineup of cozy fleece and go to tees, plus limited edition drops you won't want to miss. We throw our big annual warehouse sale out on the driveway and every now and then, we host fun little workshops where you can get crafty, learn something new, and hang with the local crew.
We offer an array of local and well loved brands that pair well with impromptu adventure, inspiring you to get outside. Whether you're gearing up for the outdoors, or searching for unique gift, CampLand provides a welcoming atmosphere to explore and shop.
Don't forget to get a scoop of ice cream on the way out! We share the space with Made By Marcus during the summer months.”
